The problem

Sierra ships a website. Then leaves you fighting your laptop.

Sierra Interactive, BoomTown, Real Geeks, kvCORE — they sell you a templated website and stop there. The day your laptop won't boot, your MLS app crashes, your password manager logs you out at 9am before an open house — they're not on the line. You're calling Geek Squad or fighting it yourself while your buyer is waiting on the front porch.

Luxury Presence builds beautiful sites and stops there too. Their account managers can't remote into your machine. They can't deploy a security patch. They can't ship you a replacement laptop overnight when yours dies the morning of a closing.

Reach Refine bundles a fully-configured, fully-managed business workstation into every plan from Refine up. Built, secured, supported, and yours after the 12-month minimum. It's the part nobody else in this space offers at any price.

What you get

Hardware, security stack, support. All bundled.

Three pieces, all included in your Refine / Expand / Anchor monthly: (1) the hardware itself — a Lenovo / HP / Dell business Mini PC with dual monitors, wireless keyboard + mouse, webcam, mic, USB hub, surge strip. Tier-dependent (1080p IPS for Refine, 1440p for Expand+, 27" premium for Anchor). (2) The security configuration — Windows 11 Pro with BitLocker encryption, standard-user lockdown, Bitdefender GravityZone real EDR (catches what Defender misses), NextDNS network-level filtering, Proton Pass for every password + 2FA code, automatic patch management from my dashboard. (3) The support layer — AnyDesk remote access in seconds, hot-spare hardware program (replacement ships overnight if yours dies), weekly fleet monitoring, monthly status report per device, quarterly password rotation + access review.

After the 12-month minimum, the hardware is yours to keep — no return fee, no recovery shipping. If you cancel, the workstation stays with you and you take over your own IT. While you're on the subscription, I'm running it like a small IT department exists for your business — because effectively, one does.

What's in the box

Three pieces every workstation ships with.

Hardware (yours after 12 mo)
Lenovo / HP / Dell business Mini PC (i5 or i7, 16–32GB RAM). Two monitors (24" 1080p on Refine → 27" 1440p on Anchor). Keyboard, mouse, webcam, mic, USB hub, surge strip. Hot-spare inventory.
BitLocker drive encryption
Windows 11 Pro standard. Full-disk BitLocker encryption with TPM-backed keys. Standard-user lockdown — no admin install without your approval. Theft / loss doesn't expose listings or client data.
Bitdefender EDR + NextDNS
Bitdefender GravityZone real EDR (endpoint detection and response — catches behavior-based threats Windows Defender misses). NextDNS at the network level blocks malicious domains and ad / tracker pollution before they reach the browser.
Proton Pass + 2FA management
Every password lives in Proton Pass with 2FA codes attached. End-to-end encrypted. Sync across the workstation + your phone. Quarterly password rotation handled by me, not you.
AnyDesk remote support
I see your screen in seconds via AnyDesk when something breaks. No phone-tag, no "can you try restarting and see if it works." Same-day SLA, faster for emergencies. Zoom for scheduled calls (no Discord screen-share fumbling).
Hot-spare hardware program
If your Mini PC dies the morning of an open house, a pre-configured replacement ships overnight with your BitLocker recovery keys + Proton Pass restore. You're back online in 24 hours, not 5–7 days like a normal warranty repair.
How to get it

Bundled from Refine up. Not available standalone.

Reach Refine doesn't sell the workstation as a standalone product — it's bundled into the Refine / Expand / Anchor monthly because the support model only works when I also run your website. Tiers differ in the hardware spec; the security + support stack is identical across all three.

FAQ

Managed workstation questions agents ask.

Why does Reach Refine bundle IT? You're a web developer.

Because I can't promise security, uptime, or fast support on a device I don't control. If you call me at 8am saying "the MLS app won't open," I need to see your screen in seconds — not coach you through screenshots over text. The workstation is the surface I support the rest of the stack through. It's also what separates Reach Refine from every other 'custom website' offer in this space — nobody else does it because nobody else wants to deal with the IT.

What if I already have a great computer?

Then Reach (no workstation) is the right tier. You keep your existing machine, I support the website and you handle your own IT. Most established agents accept the workstation upgrade once they've felt the difference between "call a vendor and wait 4 hours" and "Tom sees my screen in 30 seconds" — but it's not required.

Can I install my own software on the workstation?

Yes, but with friction by design. The standard-user lockdown means installing apps requires an admin password (held by me, not you). This isn't to restrict you — it's to stop drive-by malware and supply-chain attacks (a fake DocuSign installer downloaded from a phishing email). I'll approve any legitimate install request within minutes via AnyDesk or remotely.

What happens to the workstation when I cancel?

After the 12-month minimum, the hardware is yours. Full BitLocker recovery keys handed over. Proton Pass export to a personal vault. AnyDesk remote support discontinued. Bitdefender / NextDNS subscriptions can be transferred to your billing or canceled (it's not a contract requirement). You walk away with the same workstation you've been using, no return fee.

How do you handle warranty / repairs?

Hot-spare program: I keep pre-configured spare units in inventory. If your Mini PC dies on a Monday, a replacement ships overnight with your BitLocker recovery + Proton Pass restore baked in. You're back online Tuesday. The broken unit ships back to me for warranty processing on your behalf — you never deal with Lenovo / HP / Dell directly.

Is there a deployment fee on top of the monthly?

Yes — Refine / Expand / Anchor include a one-time $99 workstation deployment fee on signing. Covers shipping the hardware to you, plus the 1–2 hours of setup labor (BitLocker key generation, software install, AnyDesk pairing, your accounts wired into Proton Pass). After that, no per-incident fees for the life of the subscription.
