Service · Custom websites

A website built for your business — not your business bent for the template.

Hand-coded on Next.js and TypeScript, hosted on Vercel, owned outright after month 12. The same operator who shipped SharonFronk.com — 3,000 live listings, Page 1 Google rankings — writes every line. No templates, no plugins, no platform overlords.

The honest problem

Squarespace is fine — until your business has a shape.

Squarespace, Wix, and Webflow are good products for the median small business. If you're a coffee shop with hours, a menu, and an Instagram feed, they'll do the job and you should probably stop reading. Most SMBs aren't that simple though — and that's where the templates start fighting back.

You refine a customer intake flow over three years, then realize your site can't capture half of it because the form builder caps at six fields. Your booking calendar lives in Calendly, your customer notes live in a Google Sheet, your invoices live in QuickBooks, and none of them talk to each other. Every time you want to change something structural, you're either paying $200/hr for a Squarespace expert or rebuilding the workflow around what the template will allow.

The agency alternative quotes $15K for a Wordpress install that will need a maintenance contract by year two. You'll own the site on paper, but the moment a plugin breaks you're back to paying someone to fix it. That's not ownership — that's a more expensive rental.

The fix

Custom code, built around the business you already run.

I write your site by hand on Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind — the same stack the high-end agencies use for clients who pay $40K. It deploys on Vercel, sits behind Cloudflare, and scores 95+ on Lighthouse mobile out of the gate. There's no plugin to update, no Wordpress database to back up, no PHP to babysit.

The difference shows up in the second meeting. Instead of asking which template you want, I ask what happens when a customer calls you on a Saturday at 4pm. We design the site around that flow. Your contact form captures what you actually need, your booking integration is Cal.com (not Calendly's $15/mo per seat), your customer database is Supabase Postgres — yours, queryable, exportable.

This is the flagship service. Every Foundation, Growth, and Operate plan starts with a custom website — the booking system, customer database, automation, and remote IT support layer on top of it in the higher tiers. After month 12, the code, the domain, the database, every integration — yours outright. I'm an operator you keep around because the work is good, not because you're locked in.

What's included

Every site ships with the boring stuff already done.

Hand-coded on the modern stack
Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, deployed on Vercel behind Cloudflare. The same stack agencies charge $15K for. No Wordpress, no plugins, no PHP, no monthly security patches you'll forget to run.
Hosting, domain, SSL — all in your name
Vercel hosting and the domain registration sit in your account from day one. I'm the operator, but the ownership is yours. If we ever part ways, you don't lose anything but my Slack messages.
Lighthouse 95+ on mobile, by default
Images get optimized, fonts get subset, JavaScript stays under control. Squarespace mobile scores hover in the 40s — that's why your pages feel slow on a phone. Mine don't.
SEO and structured data baked in
Open Graph tags, JSON-LD schema, semantic HTML, sitemap, robots.txt. If you're moving from an existing site, I handle the 301 redirects so your Google rankings come with you. Sharon Fronk's site holds Page 1 for the local terms that matter.
Monthly edits without the support ticket
Foundation includes 1.5 hours of edits per month, Growth includes 3, Operate includes 5. Text me what you want changed — new headshot, updated hours, a new service to add — and it's live the next business day. No ticket queue, no account manager.
Yours outright at month 12
After the 12-month minimum, the source code, the database, and every integration are yours to keep. Stay subscribed for ongoing work or walk with everything. No platform lock-in, no proprietary CMS holding your content hostage.
Three tiers, one website

Pick the operation that fits how you actually run.

Every tier starts with a custom-coded website. The difference is what gets wired into it — a booking system, a customer database, full workflow automation, remote IT support. Most SMBs land on Growth.

Common questions

What people actually ask me first.

How is this different from Squarespace or Wix?

Squarespace and Wix are template engines. You pick a layout and pour your business into the shape they give you. Custom code goes the other direction — I look at how you actually take a customer from inquiry to invoice, then I build the site around that. Also: you own the code. Cancel a Squarespace account and the site goes dark. Cancel with me after month 12 and you walk with the repo.

An agency quoted me $15K for a Wordpress site. Why are you cheaper?

Because I'm one person, I work remote, and I'm not running an account team, a PM, a junior designer, and three Wordpress plugins held together with hope. The agency price includes overhead and a Wordpress install that will need a maintenance contract by year two. I write modern code on Next.js and host it on Vercel — there's no plugin to update, no database to babysit.

How long does it take to build?

Foundation sites (3-5 pages) typically ship in 3-4 weeks from kickoff. Growth tier with booking and a customer database runs 5-7 weeks. Operate tier with workflow automation is 6-10 weeks depending on how many systems we're wiring together. You see staging URLs the whole way — no four-month black box.

What if I already have a site? Will I lose my Google ranking?

No, that's the part most replatforms get wrong. I crawl your existing site, map every URL, set up 301 redirects, and migrate the metadata before we go live. Sharon Fronk's site held its Page 1 ranking through the rebuild — same playbook works here. SEO migration is included in every tier.

What happens after my 12-month minimum?

You own the source code outright. I hand over the GitHub repo, the domain, the database, the Stripe account, the Cal.com account — everything is in your name from day one anyway. You can keep the subscription for ongoing edits and hosting, take it to another developer, or run it yourself if you have someone technical.

Can I edit the site myself, or do I have to go through you?

Both, depending on what we set up. Copy edits, photo swaps, and new blog posts can run through a simple CMS you log into. Layout changes, new pages, and integrations come through me — 1.5 hours of edits per month is included on Foundation and scales up from there. Most clients prefer texting me what they want changed and seeing it live the next day.
